Research Fellow at GIGA
Welcome!
I’m a post-doctoral research fellow at GIGA — the German Institute for Global and Area Studies — in Hamburg.
I completed my Ph.D. in Government and Politics at the University of Maryland, where I was a researcher at the iLCSS.
I study political behavior and public policy with a focus on Latin America. My research examines crime and illicit drugs, and I use methods to draw causal inferences from experimental and observational data as well as machine learning approaches.
My work has been published in Political Science Research and Methods, Political Studies, Nature:HSSC, Social Science Quarterly, Policing & Society, Latin American Politics and Society, among other journals.
You can find my CV (in English) here.
